On Jan 19, 2015, 34 BCom HRM students joined an experiential high rope course event.
The day of exciting training began with the learning of skills and knowledge of safety measures. Students then took the static and dynamic rope courses. With sophisticated belaying and encouragement from teammates on the ground, all students overcome fears, successfully climbed up to the elements several metres above the ground and completed the individual challenges of incline log, cargo net and/or sky swing.
In the afternoon, participants engaged in team challenges - giant ladder and multiline. These high elements are not only physically demanding, but also require team cooperation and psychological breakthrough.
The training ended with an insightful group debriefing. Participants described that the day of experiential learning was a good lesson of adversity management, comfort zone stretching and team collaboration.
